Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode accused the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of illegaly detaining his wife Precious Chikwendu and 8-month-old son Aragorn.
The commission’s spokesperson, has denied the arrest saying it wasn’t possible as the commision had no officers in Ado-Ekiti.
He also explained that the Access Bank account from which Mr Fani-Kayode’s wife tried to withdraw money had been flagged by the commission long ago.
In view of this fact anyone trying to withdraw cash from a flagged account has to be questioned.
This is exactly what police officers were trying to do to Mr. Fani-Kayode’s wife with the intent to release her on bail after questioning before Governor Fayose’s intervention.
