Antonio Conte confirms that one of his strikers will leave Chelsea and join Liverpool

ANTONIO CONTE has confirmed that Dominic Solanke wants to leave Chelsea.

SunSport exclusively revealed yesterday that the Chelsea starlet is ready to join Liverpool in a stunning summer switch.

The 19-year-old striker has told pals he is Anfield-bound when his Stamford Bridge deal expires at the end of the season.

And Conte confirmed: “I think (he will leave), I am not sure, but I think this is his will”.

“I don’t know, I should have a crystal ball to tell his future, I wish for him and his family the best.”

England Under-21 international star Solanke will reject interest from Celtic to become part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans.

Liverpool face paying up to £8million in compensation as the teenager’s fee will go to a tribunal.

They did the same when Danny Ings arrived out-of-contract from Burnley 18 months ago when he ran down his contract at Turf Moor.

Chelsea have not made a breakthrough in contract talks with one of the biggest talents in the country, who was asked to train with the England senior squad two years ago under Roy Hodgson.

Solanke wanted a £50,000-a-week deal to stay at Chelsea but failing to agree fresh terms has alerted top clubs in the Premier League.

Liverpool are unlikely to meet his salary demands from earlier in the season but can offer being part of Klopp’s future as he shapes a squad to fight for the title every season.

Daniel Sturridge, who also made the move from Chelsea to Liverpool, is out of favour and there is room for a striker to fight his way into Klopp’s plans.

Ex-Kop boss Brendan Rodgers has shown interest in taking Solanke and offering him a chance to shine in Glasgow like Moussa Dembele this season.

But the Scottish giants cannot match Liverpool in terms of a package offered.
