Afrobeats has a new star on its hands by way of MoeLogo, a Londoner via Lagos, Nigeria, set
to follow in the footsteps of Afrobeats’ international takeover by the likes of Fuse ODG, D’Banj, Mista Silva, Wizkid and Ice Prince.
His new single ‘ My Sweetie ’ gives a modern day twist to an African party favourite, Bunny Mack’s 1979 classic ‘Let Me Love You’ , and
features the man himself.
‘ My Sweetie ’, produced by SOS (Ariana Grande, Wretch 32), follows MoeLogo’s massive street banger ‘The Baddest ’, which fused Afrobeats and Hip Hop, and topped off by a feature from Giggs on the remix and a support
slot with Davido in London. After receiving heavy support by DJ Edu and Charlie Sloth at 1Xtra and DJ Abrantee, Ras Kwame and E Plus
at Capital Xtra, the track was duly added to the 1Xtra B list and peaked at #5 in the Capital XTRA Afrobeats chart.
MoeLogo’s latest collaborations sees him teaming up with Sneakbo on his new single ‘ I Like It’, and heading out on a nationwide tour
throughout March supporting Fuse ODG.
