Former Triple MG artiste and co-owner, Iyanya who just got signed to Mavin Records yesterday, 31 of October had a lot to say when he sat down with Goldmyne TV for a short interview.
Iyanya spoke on the current state of the industry and applauded every artistes for their hardwork. He gave an advice to other artistes:
“Anybody can be successful in this industry, just make sure that you are doing good music, be original”
He used Ycee and Tekno as an example as they both came out with different unique styles that everybody is loving.
On his sound with the Mavins, he said he is dropping something that is him but different. He reiterates that he is not trying to impress anybody but instead he is only trying to make good music that would last.
From the short interview, I was able to deduce the perception that Iyanya has matured in his music and he has no plans on making all those club bangers he once used to dish out. He now wants to go the 2face way and start producing good music that would last over the years.
