In January 2017, Barbadian singer Rihanna, visited Malawi, one of the poorest countries in the world, with the Global Partnership For Education, Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation and Global Citizens.
The reason for the partnership, is to advocate for strong education systems, that ensures the world’s poorest kids can get a quality education.
While there, Rihanna met with pupils of Muzu primary school in rural Malawi and had a great time teaching them maths, playing soccer and dancing with them.
Speaking on her visit to the school, Riri said, ‘I love that they learn in melody. That’s like my favorite thing because kids, they adopt melody really, really quickly.
‘And so if you can use that as a learning tool, I think that’s the most brilliant, brilliant thing.’
