2 Chainz and Ariana Grande released a video for “Rule The World” earlier this month and last night they performed their collaboration in Boston.
Grande is on her Sweetener Word Tour and surprised the crowd by inviting 2 Chainz to the stage for his Rap Or Go To The League song. The icons stood in front of a pink backdrop including a car that they sat on until it sank into the floor at the end of the track.
Ariana said this about the evening:
“Love u @2chainz thanks for surprising boston w me #ruletheworld .”
2 Chainz added:
“THIS SONG #ruletheworld HAS BEEN OUT FOR TWO WEEKS. the show was lit !!! thank you @arianagrande thank you BOSTON. #raporgototheleague out now!!!! Sincerely yours, Boston Toni .”
The two previously worked together on a remix of the thank u, next track “7 rings.” People thought that the original’s music video borrowed too much from Tity Boi’s past work. This caused them to get together and do something positive. He spoke about it during a recent interview on Sway In The Morning.
“Rule The World” is off to a great start since it arrived a few weeks ago. It’s the number one song added to urban and rhythmic radio, was top five trending on YouTube, and top fifty on Shazam.
Ariana will headline Coachella 2019 on April 14th and the 21st. You can grab tickets here.
