US President, Donald Trump, has claimed that the three year ‘harassment’ by Democrats using the Russia investigation and impeachment hearings is affecting his polling numbers and he would be leading former Vice President Joe Biden by 25 points in the polls in the upcoming 2020 presidential elections if not for them.
Trump in a tweet on Sunday night, aired his opinion as the COVID-19 pandemic that has killed 100,000 people in the US coupled with protests over the killing of George Floyd have shifted the political and economic landscape in the US with polls showing Joe Biden leading Trump by a 7 point margin.
‘If I wasn’t constantly harassed for three years by fake and illegal investigations, Russia, Russia, Russia, and the Impeachment Hoax, I’d be up by 25 points on Sleepy Joe and the Do Nothing Democrats. Very unfair, but it is what it is!!!’ Trump wrote on Twitter.
Some Twitter users used the opportunity to blast him for claiming his polling numbers were as a result of the Russia investigation which ended last year and the Impeachment investigation which ended in January.
