Mohale has come out to speak on criticism following the announcement of his new role on Rhythm City.
The entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela announced the news on Twitter as many were displeased with it.
According to the statement, the star will be joining Rhythm City for a few episodes on eTV’s hit series.
Many accused the South African media industry of recycling as they felt most of the roles and gigs are given to the famous people or people with connections.
Some even went ahead to question Mohale if he was auditioned before he got the role.
Mohale defended himself stating he auditioned for the role just like everyone else.
The businessman also debunked claims that his husband is hard at work getting him gigs saying he will not apologize for marrying Somizi because he is famous.
“In the beginning when people would share their thoughts about what I do, where I go it used to bother me. But then I said wait… I can’t be angry at people who don’t know me, or anything about me. People expect me to not do anything simply because I am married to a famous person. I can’t blame myself for getting married to Somizi. That must not mean I shouldn’t pursue any opportunities simply because people are going to say that Somizi got them for me,” proclaimed Mohale.
Mohale on the other hand talked about how they celebrated their first year wedding anniversary .
In his words, he said he and his husband, Somizi had a lot of disagreement in its first year.

He said: “We had a quiet dinner and looked back at the past year. The first year of marriage, I must say, is not easy.”
He concluded: “We are not planning an extravaganza, but we are having another wedding.”
