Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has become the first player to score at least 100 goals in three different clubs and football leagues.
Ronaldo reached his new milestone in Serie A on Wednesday as Juventus beat Sassuolo 3-1 with goals from Adrien Rabiot and Paulo Dybala (who also scored his 100th goal for Juve) completing the scoring.
The result leaves Andrea Pirlo’s men fifth on the Serie A standings with 72 points, one off the Champions League spot, as they keep their UCL qualification hopes alive.
Optajoe also reported that the Portuguese became the first player in the history of Juventus to have scored 100+ goals in all competitions in his first three campaigns for the Bianconeri.
His former stint at Manchester United saw him score 292 goals in six seasons before going to Spain where he scored 438 goals in nine years for Real Madrid.
Reacting after the game, Ronaldo took to his verified Instagram handle to celebrate the achievement with his 285m followers.
“Always a special feeling to reach 100 goals for my team. Proud of this number, happy for helping Juve and happy for seeing Dybala reach his 100th goal as well.
“Congrats, @paulodybala ! But we must keep our focus and go for the remaining points in Serie A. There is still so much at stake and we will keep fighting for all our remaining goals. Fino Alla Fine! Let’s go,” he wrote.
