Habeeb Okikiola, a rising street singer known as Portable, recently had a run-in with Nigerian cops who stormed into his bar to arrest him. The incident was recorded live on his Instagram, where he expressed his fear and frustration at the officers’ actions.
Portable can be seen reacting to the sudden entry of police officers into his office in the video. He questioned their reason for arresting him and begged them to tell him why he was being taken away.
The singer, who is known for his controversial behavior, attempted to avoid arrest by leveraging his celebrity and political connections. He claimed that he worked for Nigeria’s ruling political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and that the police had no right to arrest him.
“I am a celebrity and I work for APC; you have no right to walk into my office and tell me that I am under arrest,” Portable was heard saying. Despite his protests, the police officers continued with their arrest.
Portable also claimed in the video that a Yahoo boy (internet fraudster) had ordered his arrest, but he provided no further details about the incident.
The video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, with many Nigerians expressing their opinions about the singer’s behavior and the actions of the police officers.
