Kogi state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Saka Haruna, has denied reports that the state governor, Yahaya Bello, has tested positive for Coronavirus virus.
Rumors were rife on social media on Tuesday after it was reported that Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Buhari, had tested positive to Coronavirus. Kyari attended the three days prayer for the late mother of Governor Bello, Hajia Hawau, last week, in Okene.
When contacted to confirm the reports that the governor had tested positive, the Kogi Commissioner for Health, told The Nation that such news should be ignored.
“That is incorrect; please ignore such lies.”
Meanwhile the PDP in the state have asked the governor to immediately self isolate and go for testing. The party appealed to the governor to be truthful with his COVID-19 test results.
