A boy, 17, is fighting for life after being shot in the street in north London last night.
The teenager was taken to hospital after the shooting in Green Lanes, Haringey, at just before 11.15pm on Wednesday, December 4. He remains in a life-threatening condition, police said.
Met Police officers were pictured giving first aid to the boy in a nearby chicken shop on the High Road in Haringey after he was shot. Subyan Younas, manager of Roosters Piri Piri, said police dragged the teenager into his restaurant and carried out emergency CPR until paramedics arrived.
It is believed the boy was shot outside Turnpike Tube station, a few feet away.
Armed police were sent to the area following the attack, with specialist gun crime officers from the Met’s Trident unit now investigating.
Police said no arrests have been made.
