1. Spicy food.
When pepper is much in a meal, the meal is said to be spicy, and excessive consumption of these foods can cause heartburn. It is a very bad idea to eat spicy food before bed. Spicy food can be eaten any other time, but should not be eaten at bedtime.
2. Ice cream
Ice cream is one type of food that should be eaten when the weather is hot in the afternoon. It should not be eaten at night, especially not within 1 hour before bedtime.
3. Sugary foods.
Some sweet foods contain artificial sweeteners. They should not be eaten at night especially before going to bed due to stomach discomfort and gas.
4. Deep fry food.
Fried foods are not a good choice to eat late at night because they usually absorb excess oil when fried. Excess fats and oils in your blood, while you sleep, can have health consequences.
5. Foods with high water content.
If you really want to sleep like a baby and get a good night’ s sleep, try not to eat foods that are high in water or watery food for example pap
6. Heavy food.
Heavy foods like garri and soups, nuts and pastries, etc should be consumed at least 2 hours before going to bed at night. Heavy foods take longer to digest, so try not to sleep as soon as you eat them to avoid gas, discomfort, and sleep deprivation.
7. Chocolate
Chocolate is very high in caffeine, which makes it a very poor and unhealthy choice for a late- night snack. Instead of eating chocolate or some products that contain caffeine, drink a glass of milk instead.
