Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi on Friday, said that Covid-19 was real.
He stated this while announcing his coronavirus test result, which he said came out negative.
The governor announced this in a post on his Twitter handle-@kfayemi on Friday.
He wrote, “I just received my test result from NCDC and it is negative.
“Thanks to all for your concern. This, however, calls for continued vigilance on the part of everyone. Covid-19 is real and we cannot afford to be complacent.”
The governor had gone on self-isolation and sent his samples for testing after two persons he came in contact with tested positive to the dreaded virus.
The two persons were President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari and the governor of Bauchi State, Mohammed Bala.
