Langerman was in suspension for the match after he received four yellow cards in the season. However, the Brazilians were able to retain their trophy since the complaint came in after the match. Sundowns are expected to receive a fine from the league for their offence.

3. Celtic lose their grip at the final race

Celtic were expected to come into the game with much pace but Siwelele side were not up and running as they are known to be. Just few chances were created which allowed Sundowns to take hold of the cup.

However, the Brazilians takes the lead in terms of winning the league title after winning it 10 times, while Amakhosi side have won the league four times in the PSL era.

5. Tshwane rules Soweto

Sundowns win against Celtic translates that all the trophies are based in the City of Tshwane. SuperSport United have won the MTN8, Sundowns have clinched the league and Telkom Knockout titles, and the only missing trophy was the Nedbank Cup which has now been won by Sundowns. This is also means no trophy is based in Soweto, where Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates reside.
