The first half of Manchester United’s match with Bournemouth had a crazy conclusion. After Josh King cancelled out Marcos Rojo’s
opener, there was a big fight between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Tyrone Mings. The pair had clashed earlier in the match and
this appeared to be related to that initial scrap. Mings tackled Rooney on the edge of the box and took out Ibrahimovic in the process. Getting up and back into action, he stamped on the Swede’s head.
The ref missed this. In truth, he had a bit of a nightmare.
Bad Friend It’s not surprising that Kevin Friend missed it given that so much was going on at the
time. Ibrahimovic retaliated moments later with a vicious elbow on Mings. This appeared to have been spotted by officials.
How Ibrahimovic got away without so much as receiving a booking is a mystery. Having
said that, this is a game Friend will want to forget.
He gave Andrew Surman a booking for the fracas that followed. It took him two or
three minutes to realise that he had already booked the midfielder. Then he gave him his
marching orders. Check out the tweet reactions below.
You simply don’t send Zlatan Ibrahimovic off.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic had 10 touches
inside the Bournemouth penalty area in the first half; more than any other outfield player on the pitch.

Imagine Tyrone Mings had put
Ibrahimovic in hospital, or even worse.
Whole of Sweden would have gone him let alone United Ultra’s

Now… would video technology have rescued that situation with a red for both Ibrahimovic & Mings? #MUNBOU

Ref got that so wrong. Mings should have gone. Didn’t. Zlatan should have gone. Didn’t. Surman didn’t deserve to go. Did.
