Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has ruled the duo of skipper John Obi Mikel and Odion Ighalo out of next month’s World Cup qualifier against Algeria.
The Eagles are already through to the World Cup with a game to spare, and Rohr says the fact that both players play in China means the timeframe would be too short for them to join the team for the clash with Algeria in Constantine in Algeria on November 6.
“For the China players, it would be difficult for them to make the game because they would be having their matches in the weekend before the game and as such it would be difficult for them to make it to Africa within the short time available,” Rohr said.
Officials have already disclosed that Nigeria plan to train in Morocco for the Algeria game.
