PLAYER RATINGS: How Barca and PSG’s players performed during an unforgettable night at the Camp Nou

Barcelona went through to the Champions League quarter-finals after one of the greatest European comebacks of all time.

The hosts didn’t take long to open the scoring, with Luis Suarez flicking the ball past Kevin Trapp in the third minute.

And by half-time they were half-way to overhauling PSG’s first leg lead after more poor defending saw Layvin Kurzawa stab
the ball into his own net.

It didn’t take long for a third, as Lionel Messi lashed home a penalty after Neymar was
brought down in the area.

Just as the home fans were beginning to believe at 3-0, Cavani scored with an
emphatic finish to kill their hopes. Or so they though…

Two goals from Neymar – a free-kick and penalty – in the 87th and 89th minute made it 5-1 on the night and drew the hosts level
on aggregate before Sergi Roberto’s goal mate it 6-1 on the night and 6-5 on aggregate with 10 SECONDS left of injury time.

A quiet game as Barcelona were on the front foot for most of it, although made one fine save to deny Cavani. No chance with the
goal.

Put in a superhuman display to help Barcelona survive despite their hugely attacking formation. Covered an insane amount of ground.

Booked for a foolish tackle on Cavani, but otherwise was solid as a rock and useful going forward too.

Samuel Umtiti 8
Made a brilliant slide tackle to stop Cavani breaking through in the first half, intercepting many passes and playing with
maturity beyond his years.

Sergio Busquets 8
Another fine performance from a player who, until last week, was having a nightmare of a season.

Ivan Rakitic 6
A new man after his slump earlier in the season, the Croatian played with energy and grit, but was caught out by Kurzawa for the
PSG goal.

Andres Iniesta 7
His genius back-heel flick forced Kurzawa to put the ball through his own net for Barcelona’s second, even though he is still
struggling to hit the pace of the game after injury.

Lionel Messi 7
A quiet first-half performance by his celestial standards but rifled home a penalty in the
second half for Barcelona’s third. Occupied two defenders or more at almost all times.

Rafinha 6
His ball in from the right caused the scramble that led to Suarez’s opener, but while he worked hard he wasted some decent chances in good areas.

Luis Suarez 7
Forced home the opener in the third minute from close range like the true poacher he is, scrapping and battling for every ball thereafter.

Neymar 10
Whistled a long-range strike inches wide in the first half and then forced a penalty in the
second as he went down after colliding with Meunier. Bagged two late goals and then set
up Sergi Roberto for the crucial sixth.

Brought on for Iniesta after PSG’s goal, but the jig was up and he didn’t have an impact.
