Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has been named the Premier Leagued player of the year at the 2017 London footballing awards.
The Frenchman joined in the summer from title winning Leicester having arguably won the Foxes the title.
Now, the midfielder is tearing the league apart for Chelsea and has arguably been the pivotal player in the Londoners title hopes.
Tearing apart Premier League opposition attacks, Kante is looking a snip at £30m, becoming one of the best midfielders in the top flight.
Kante has now received extra recognition in the form of this award and will be looking to retain his title next year.
Telegraph forced to apologise
The Telegraph were forced to apologise to Chelsea forward Dom Solanke after they claimed he held the club ransom over a new deal.
They reported that Solanke was looking to get £50,000 per week or would leave the club if he demands were not met.
It was then reported that this was not the case and the paper had to duly apologise, something that the player posted about after.
