Man United’s first summer signing
It’s been a slightly frustrating summer for Manchester United fans keeping up with all
the transfer news.
As it becomes increasingly likely that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will leave Old Trafford at the
end of the season, the Red Devils appear to have drawn a blank in their efforts to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.
However, at the other end of the pitch, reports are flowing that Man United could be about to complete their first signing of
the summer this week.
Victor Lindelof is done!
The Swedish central defender was heavily linked in the January transfer window but Jose Mourinho reportedly decided to hold off.
At the time, the form of Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones was so good that Mourinho did not push through on the transfer.
This was despite plenty of negotiations with Benfica.
On Friday, however, Record reported that Manchester United and Benfica have agreed
terms on the move.
The Portuguese paper announced that the fee for the Scandinavian centre-half will be
€35 million plus €5 million in performance based bonuses to Benfica.
A Bola double down
On Monday morning, A Bola have once again confirmed that Lindelof to Man United is virtually a done deal.
