Despite Man United’s win, Mourinho still not happy
At the start of 2016, Jose Mourinho was out of a job having been sacked by Chelsea and the Blues were putting together one of the worst title defences ever seen in England’s top flight.
Roll on to the final day of 2016 and both Chelsea and Mourinho, to a lesser extent, are flying.
Chelsea made it 13 Premier League wins in a row on Saturday, beating Stoke 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United meanwhile, had to work hard to make it five Premier League wins in a row, as they scored on 85 and 86 to beat Middlesbrough at home.
“Chelsea are the privileged ones”
After the Manchester United win, Jose Mourinho took another dig at Chelsea, not the first one he has taken in recent weeks on this subject.
On the fact that Manchester United play West Ham on Monday, 48 hours after the win over Boro, Mourinho said: “it’s difficult, the same for West Ham. Chelsea are the privileged ones”.
Chelsea had more rest days in the Premier League than any other side over the Christmas period.
But, would the Blues be more exhausted if Mourinho had helped them get into Europa least season?!
