It was a two minutes affair for kelechi Ihenacho as Manchester City nailed Middleborough 2-0 to book a place in the semifinal of the FA Cup on Saturday.
Visiting City who appeared to be in a hurry to get the job done shot into the lead as early as the 3rd minute thanks to David Silva who got an assist from Raheem Sterling. Sergio Aguero increased the tally in the 67th minute of the match after converting a well-placed offer from Leroy Sané. Man City did not appear to be satisfied with the 2-0 lead as they made attempts to increase the tally further but failed.
Ihenacho who had watched proceedings with rapt attention did not get an opportunity to step into the pitch till the 90th minute when pep Gaudiola gave him the nod as replacement for Aguero. The Nigerian however had only two minutes at his disposal as the final whistle went before anyone could say ‘Jack Robinson’.
