65-year-old Bob Geldof has acquired a Nigerian biscuit company.
The British rock icon, famous for songs like ‘I Don’t Like Mondays’ and ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’, paid $80m (about N30b) for a stake in the company that makes cream crackers.
Geldof has been interested in Africa since 2004 when he founded the charity Commission for Africa
He’s also part of Live8, Africa Progress Panel and ONE Campaign.
Let’s hope to see King Sunny Ade also buy a British chocolate company. Right?
