The Black Eyed Peas will take to the stage as part of the opening ceremony for the Champions League final on June 3.
A performance by Alicia Keys last year meant the Real Madrid-Atletico Madrid final started
four minutes late at the San Siro in Milan.
The Black Eyed Peas will become the second act to appear at a final, before Juventus meet Real Madrid at the National Stadium of
Wales in Cardiff.
Lead singer will.i.am told UEFA’s official website: “We’re planning on harnessing the excitement of the fans in the stadium, and
all those tuning in to the UEFA Champions League final.
“As football fans ourselves, we know how much this game means to those watching from the stands, their homes and with
friends. This performance means just as much to us. We’re planning an unforgettable show.”
The Black Eyed Peas also performed at the 2010 FIFA World Cup Kick-off Celebration
Concert in Soweto, South Africa.
