Antonio Conte has tipped two young Chelsea stars for success after their display against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
Conte has backed Charly Musonda and Robert Kenedy to shine and he expects to call upon these youngsters as the season progresses. Both players scored in the Carabao Cup against Nottingham Forest and the coach was of the opinion that they can be counted on when needed.
Conte counts on injured David Luiz against Atletico Madrid “I was pleased to see this type of performance from Charly and Kenedy and for sure these are two players with good prospects,” the Italian said “I think they will stay with us and if they stay in our squad it means we trust them and they have to continue in this way.
“In the last game, I felt a good atmosphere in the changing room – a good link between young players and old players.
“I think that is the right way because the season is very long and for sure I have to give opportunities to these players to show they are learning and are ready to help us.”
Meanwhile, Conte has reiterated that Kurt Zouma’s long-term future will be at Chelsea. Zouma signed a new deal with the Blues before recently joining Stoke City on a season-long loan.
