The Senate President, Bukola Saraki on
Thursday met 6 year old Boko haram victim,
Ali Ahmadu.
Ahmadu was 3 years old when Boko Haram
terrorists stormed Chibok and ran over him
with a motorcycle. As a result of the
unfortunate incident, Ali’s spinal cord was
severed.
Recall that Senator Dino Melaye had attended
a fund raising ceremony for medical
treatment of the boy organised by The
Global Initiative for Peace Love & Care
“To me, Ali is a reminder of the evils of
violent extremism. He is one of the reasons
why we continue to remain committed to
stamping out terrorism. He will require
surgery on his spinal cord.” Saraki said.
“Moving forward, my colleagues and I in the
8th Senate will continue to offer support to
him and his family.
“We must all remember that we have come a
long way in our fight to stamp out the
insurgency that we once battled with.
However, right now, there are a lot of
families and people in our communities that
are still bearing the brunt of extremism.
“We must also continue to pray for our men
and women in uniform who fight to keep us
safe.”
