Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State has announced the recruitment of 250 former members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) with prerequisite qualification into the Nigerian Army.
The state governor also disclosed that he is working closely with the Ministry of Interior to ensure that all volunteers – as long as they have sacrificed their life defending the state and the nation – are recruited.
250 Civilian JTF Members Recruited Into The Army
Speaking in appreciation, the leader of the new recruits to the army, Solomon Benjamin, commended Mr. Shettima for his sacrifices and contributions to the Civilian JTF and promised to be a good ambassador of the State.
Civilian JTF volunteers have played a pivotal role in maintaining the safety of residents living under the control of Boko Haram terrorists, particularly in instances when there were no police or military in the area.
