The world seems to constantly compare iPhones to Androids. Both phones have a loyal team of customers who believe “their” phone is the best. However, most experts seem to prefer iPhones over Androids. Here are the top 10 reasons why the iPhone is so much better than Androids.
10. You want regular OS updates
When a new major version of iOS gets released to the public, the majority of iOS users receive the update in a matter of hours. There is almost no waiting involved. On the other hand, updating its Android flagships will take significantly longer.
9. Great Cameras
The iPhone makes great photos with perfect color. And the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are even better with a sharper 12-MP camera with 4K video capture. The new iPhones are also looking to take the selfie crown from Android phones. The FaceTime HD has a new Retina Flash feature that boosts the brightness of the screen to double as a flash.
8. iPhones get the best apps first
Even though the iPhone has a smaller market share, developers still tend to make the best apps for iOS first. Although you can find most of the same popular apps on Android, they don’t always have the better features and designs. If you care about having the best apps on your phone, you should definitely choose iPhone.
7. Best Support and Help
When you have a problem with your Android phone, you can try online forums or calling your carrier. But with the iPhone, you can tap into a vast database of useful help articles on Apple’s website, get help via live chat, or you can schedule an appointment at an Apple Store Genius Bar. Google doesn’t have this kind of direct relationship with its customers. With Android, you’re on your own.
6. You care about the whole experience
From the hardware to the software, Apple takes care of everything iPhone-related. Normally, this ensures that all aspects of the device are tailored to work seamlessly between one another and provide an almost unrivaled user experience on all fronts. Optimization and the bond between software and hardware is one of the most noteworthy aspects of an iPhone. This makes the iPhone better than the Android.
5. iPhones have better security
Apple’s iPhone is based on a closed system, which means you can only install apps from the company’s app store. While this limits what users can access and gives Apple complete editorial control, it also delivers greater security. Malicious apps rarely make it through Apple’s testing process. Apple also delivers software patches to users immediately.
4. iPhone’s Fingerprint Sensor is the best
Some Android phone makers tried adding fingerprint sensors to their phones, but none of them are as useful and accurate as the TouchID sensor on the iPhone. A few years ago, Apple bought a company called Authentec that makes the best fingerprint sensors for mobile devices. No one else has been able to beat TouchID since.
3. You want a top-performing all-around device
Apple’s iPhones rarely exhibit major flaws or issues that turn customers off. Unlike certain Android flagships from the current and last year, which brought issues that are quite hard to swallow, you can usually count on the iPhone’s consistency and reliability.
2. You don’t want oily fingerprint smudges at the back of your phone
The Gorilla Glass 4-covered back of the Galaxy S6 looks amazing and provides a good grip, but after you handle the device for a while, chances are that the rear of your shiny new Samsung flagship will be covered with oily smudges and greasy fingerprint marks. The iPhone 6 holds virtually no smudges thanks to its aluminum rear.
1. iPhones are more user-friendly
iPhones are much easier to use for everyone out there. iOS is easier and more convenient and enjoyable to use than Android; and it would appear that a lot of my fellow smartphone users agree, since iOS users are on average more loyal to the platform than their Android counterparts. It has a much friendlier user-interface and these features make it preferable to Androids.
