Chris Rock is a talented stand-up comedian with a $100 million fortune. He rose to fame in the early 1990s as a result of his Saturday Night Live performance. He was previously ranked as the fifth-best stand-up comic of all time by Comedy Central. He was named #9 by Channel 4 in 2007 among the top 100 comedians in the UK. Rock spent many years performing stand-up comedy before making his big-screen debut in 1987’s Beverly Hills Cop II. More notable film roles followed, including those in Head of State (2003), Down to Earth (2001), Grown Ups (2010), Grown Ups 2 (2013), the Madagascar film series (2005–2012), Top Five (2014), and a number of HBO’s critically acclaimed comedy specials. He created, scripted, and narrated the 2005–2009 sitcom Everybody Hates Chris. In both 2005 and 2016, Rock presided over the 77th and 88th Academy Awards, respectively. He also won three Grammy Awards and four Emmy Awards.
He came in at number five in a Comedy Central poll of the best stand-up comedians. He was ranked as the ninth best stand-up comedian in the UK in 2007 by viewers of Channel 4’s 100 Greatest Stand-Ups. They made some changes to the list in 2010 and ranked him as the seventh best stand-up comedian.
