Veteran Actor Tunde Alabi has Right leg Amputated due to lack of Funds
Nollywood veteran, Tunde Alabi has had one of his legs amputated at the Lagos general Hospital.
This was based on doctors advise that the leg be cut off so the infection doesn’t spread to other parts of his body.
The ‘Village Headmaster’ star earlier this month was forced to join a long list of celebrities to appeal to the general public for aid as a result of his long battle with diabetes.
After his plea in which he said “I don’t want to die. I am calling on well-meaning Nigerians to come to my rescue,” renowned actor and movie director, Paul Julius, among others, had urged well-meaning Nigerians to come to the actor’s aid financially as he’d not been able to afford proper medicare since he got bed-ridden in June.
But it appears his plea fell on deaf ears and didn’t achieve the desired result as he had his right leg amputated on Thursday, Oct 20 2016.
