A 46-year-old American mum, Janine Sanchez Reimann, has arrived Kano State to marry a 23-year-old Kano State indigene, Suleiman Isah.
The Wedding Fatiha is set to be held on Sunday, December 13, in the Gasau Panshekara area of the state.
Their relationship is waxing stronger, after trending on social media earlier this year, and they are set to tie the knot.
According to eyewitnesses, Janine who is a chef based in Lindon, California, has said that she will not mind returning to America with her new love after the marriage in Kano.
A friend of the couple in Katsina State said they met on Instagram and started to date before they decided it would lead to marriage.
He said, “Suleiman has already shared the pre-wedding pictures with his American lover whom he met on Instagram. Sanchez (Janine) and Suleiman became friends over a year ago and fell in love with each other.
“She is a chef based in Lindon, California, and she has said she wouldn’t mind returning to America with her new love after the marriage in Kano. The wedding will take place Saturday 13, December at Panshekara.”
Olesya Semenova, 24, was found by her flatmate at their home in Russian city Arkhangelsk.
‘I screamed, shook her, but she was pale, did not breathe and showed no signs of life,’ distraught friend named Daria, an estate agent, told the emergency operator.
‘I was really scared. When I touched her, I got an electric shock. There was a smartphone in the water, it was charging.’
Paramedics confirmed that Ms Semenova died in the bath and that her iPhone 8 had fallen into the water when plugged into the mains.
The Russian emergencies ministry issued a warning after the tragedy, the latest of a number of such fatalities in the country.
‘The tragedy once again reminds us that water and an electrical appliance connected to the mains are incompatible. The same applies to any mobile device. If you drown a smartphone, the worst thing is its failure. But when it is connected to the network, we see what the consequences are’; said a health analyst.
