Skepta dives into his 2019 campaign by announcing his upcoming album Ignorance Is Bliss.
The UK rapper took to his Instagram account over the weekend with the cover art and a message reading:
“NEW SKEPTA ALBUM #IGNORANCEisBLISS OUT MAY 31ST. Artwork shot by @haiimmanu @FLIR. Thank you Metallic Mgmt for bringing my ideas to life.”
The project was originally supposed to be titled SkLEVEL, but has since been changed. The London musician said this :
“A message to say I love you all. I’ve been working hard and I’m more focused than ever. Changed my album title cos #SkLEVEL is a 2018 pattern. New year, new name. @slowthai album first tho.. See you soon. – Skep ”
The LP will be Skepta’s fifth studio project following Greatest Hits, Microphone Champion, Doin’ It Again, and Konnichiwa.
The BBK artist has only dropped one track this year called “Wish You Were Here.” The song was a part of his ongoing beef with Wiley.
