The former president of Ghana and the Flagbearer for the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, has disclosed that Telco’s in the country should do their best to reduce the prices of internet to the masses.
He went on further to reveal that, this can only be possible if the sitting Government promises to extend Telco’s licenses for 6 months
“This has drastically increased their expenditure on internet usage to the extent to the extent that some can no longer cope. Indeed there are reports of several students being unable to complete online lectures because their data run out. Several people are also working from home.”

“Furthermore, the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) should leverage its robust broadband infrastructure…to meet the increased demand for wireless and fixed broadband in these COVID-19 times,” he said these after donating 20,000 food items to the needy to aid them to cope with the COVID-19 lockdown.
