Lil Uzi Vert has been struggling to release his awaited album Eternal Atake and now it looks like he’s getting some management from Jay Z.
Sources have confirmed that the rap icon has inked a managing deal with Roc Nation who he thanked on social media. He joins an impressive roster of artists such as DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne, Fat Joe, Jim Jones, Rapsody, Yo Gotti, and more. Lil Uzi Vert sent fans into frenzy earlier today showing himself back in the studio as well.

The Philly rapper retired this year due to issues with DJ Drama and Don Cannon’s label Generation Now. This sparked a Free Uzi campaign on social media, which boiled over when his appearance on NAV’s Bad Habits LP was missing last week. The XO artist spoke on behalf of Vert saying:
“I know y’all wanted “Habits” on the album. I had an open verse for the longest and Uzi blessed us with one. Unfortunately DJ Drama and Don Cannon won’t clear his verse legally. I used to be a big fan of them since Gangsta Grillz mixtapes and always thought they support new artists. I guess it’s all about the $$$$ for them now! It’s crazy but it’s true.”
DJ Drama has since responded to the allegations saying the verse wasn’t up to their standards and:
“Uzi should put EA out tomorrow or any day he wants. He has me and Cannon’s total support and blessings to drop it!”
The infamous producer then joined his new artist Jack Harlow to make fun of Lil Uzi Vert in a satirical Instagram post. The caption reads:
“Just signed my soul away….double tap if you can’t wait for eternal atake. ”
Drama jokingly commented:
“Don’t make me fuck ur career up too.”
Lil Uzi Vert alleges that issues with DJ Drama and Don Cannon started when he was hanging out with the former’s girlfriend. He also gives advice to aspiring artists by telling them to let the guilty parties answer the blogs while you stay quiet.
On top of Vert’s contractual is sues he was also recently sued for $600,000 over a missed concert performance. The issue stems from an appearance he was supposed to make in Tucson, Arizona last October.
