Award-winning seasoned entertainment and lifestyle journalist, Rashad Kojo Emmanuel in a new video has stated that the Kumawood movie industry will only come back to its strong feet if only the “lacking human-movie catalyst” is consulted.
Rashad in an interview with Abena Gold of Ghpage TV said the Kumawood movie for years has lost its waves in the country soon after the veteran Alexander Kofi Adu aka Agya Koo was sidelined from the industry.
As we all know the movie industry has lost its relevance for close to 5 years now since the introduction of the online medium. Most of the top names have stopped acting because the movie doesn’t generate money as it used to some years back.
Almost all the stars have resorted to other ventures to make ends meet. Explaining his point, Rashad enunciated that the leaders of the industry were not smart enough to adapt to the new normal when the selling of CD/DVD was fading out.
“Most of the leaders of the Kumawood movie industry were/are not smart enough to have adapted to the change in the movie industry globally. The buying and selling of CD/DVD’s gradually became obsolete hence should have aligned with the change” he noted.
In his closing remarks on the topic, Rashad (Lion Ba) advised the leaders to be innovative and creative, thus they should be aligned with technology and revisit those veteran movie personalities like Agya Koo for consultations if only they want to get the Kumawood movie back to its feet.
