Despite previous legal troubles, US rapper Gucci Mane has been granted permission to enter Canada for his upcoming tour.
Gucci Mane has gotten a temporary resident permit with the help of an immigration attorney, to enter Canada this month for 10 scheduled gigs across 5 provinces, TMZ reported.
In 2013, Gucci Mane was cited for a probation violation after he was caught carrying a gun. Gucci served 39 months behind bars for that offense and was released in 2016. Since that time, he’s focused on turning his life around.
The Evil Genius artist is very well known for breaking the law several times and it is amazing he could get this permit. To get anyone cross the border into Canada must demonstrate they meet the requirements to enter or stay in the country, and involvement in criminal activity is cause to prevent someone from entering.
Some of the US artistes who have been denied entry into Canada includes, G-Eazy who was denied last year after his cocaine arrest during a trip to Sweden. Chris Brown was also declined in 2015 because of his criminal past.
Earlier in the year, we reported that Gucci Mane bought his wife Keyshia Ka’Oir a 2019 Rolls Royce Cullinan as a birthday gift.
