Sho Madjozi gave a surprise visit to school girls of Lofenste Girls High in Soweto days back for Menstrual Hygiene day and their reactions were obviously over the moon.
The star inspired the girls by sharing some of her stories of menstruation with the aim of encouraging them to speak openly on the topic.
Speaking with TshishsaLIVE, Sho said: “Our main goal is to inspire the girls to reach their dreams, even when they are on their period. We don’t want your period to stop you from what you are doing or achieving your dreams. A lot of girls look up to me and I want to use that to inspire them and remove the shame that sometimes surrounds conversations about your period.”
The singer confessed on social media that it was an exciting experience.
“I may not be the biggest artist nominated for the #BETAwards but my fans are the best 😁😂😂😂 you can vote using the link in my bio. It’s super easy and can vote more than once 💓 thanks Lofentse Girls and @stayfreeafrica.”
