Drake, following his reconciliation with his long-time rival, Ludacris, the OVO boss, attained another landmark at the just concluded Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) on Sunday night, May 21, 2017.
Drake surpasses British singer –Adele’s previous record of winning 12 BBMAs, when he danced home with 13 awards last night. Speaking about this breakthrough, Drake said;
“Hold tight, Adele, after winning the night’s final trophy for Top Artist. “When the new ting drops, you’ll get the record back.”
Lead track off ‘Views’ album, “One Dance”— featuring WizKid and Kyla— also helped the 6 God win Top Streaming Song, Top R&B Song, and Top R&B Collaboration. He also won in categories like Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Tour and Top Artist honors.
