Barcelona icon Lionel Messi is set to win the Ballon d’or award for a sixth time, after a list appeared on Twitter Monday showing the 2019 Ballon d’Or results.
According to the leaked results, Lionel Messi will be handed the trophy, Virgil Van Dijk will come second while surprisingly Cristiano Ronaldo will not even make the top three.
According to the list, four Liverpool players will make up the top six while Dutch players Frankie De Jong and De Ligt including Eden Hazard make up the top ten.
If the result is true, then it will be a great surprise given that Cristiano Ronaldo won titles with Italian club, Juventus and won the Euro Nations League with Portugal in 2019.
The 2019 Ballon D’or award will take place on Monday evening .
