Keegan-Michael Key, an American actor, comedian, producer, and screenwriter. He was born in the United States on March 22, 1971. He began his acting career in the 1990s by starring in a number of movies and television programs.

He shot to fame as a result of his role in the sketch comedy series Key & Peele (2012–2015), for which he was nominated for and won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2016.

He was adopted when he was a little child by a Detroit couple named Michael Key and Patricia Walsh who both worked in social services. They were both social workers. His adopted parents, Patricia Walsh and Michael Key, have the same racial makeup as his birth parents, who were a black man and a white woman.
