The Netherlands will be hit by a couple of days of wintry weather in the coming week, as the temperature plunges to up to -6 degrees overnight in places.
Weather bureaus weeronline.nl and weerplaza both say there could be snow in the east and southeast on Tuesday and Wednesday as a cold front moves in.
The temperature during Tuesday and Wednesday will scarcely rise about 5 degrees in the south, but will be close to zero in Groningen, the weather forecasters say. Overnight there will be a widespread frost.
It will turn slightly warmer again on Thursday and from Friday it could be as much as 12 degrees in the west of the country. However, it will remain changeable, with little sun and some showers.
