Despite the fact that his current deal with Mavin Records is set to expire in a few months, Korede Bello is not considering leaving the label anytime soon.
The singer made this known to TheNETng in a new interview, saying that when the deal expires, he will sign a renewal.
‘Of course I will renew, Mavin is like a family to me,’ he confidently said.
Korede, alongside Reekado Banks and Di’Ja, signed three-year deals with Mavin in February 2014 but is yet to release an album with the contract nearing its end. The ‘Godwin’ singer however maintains he will still release his album under the label.
‘If you’re going by that, it’s not just a year deal, it’s album deals. That’s to tell you that what we’re operating on is not just what people think it is. That I haven’t released an album in three years doesn’t mean that I’ll leave,’ he said.
‘I’m definitely still under Mavin Records. A lot of songs on my album will be produced by Don Jazzy, Altims, Baby Fresh. So it’s a Mavin Records’ project.’
He however declined to give a date for the release of the yet-to-be-titled project.
