Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr said that his players will adequately be prepared to fend off the physical play of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon when they clash next year in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Cameroon with two points from two matches will play back-back games against the Super Eagles and they are hoping to catch up with the Eagles and keep their qualification chances on track. This is just as the Eagles who top the table with six points need to win and maintain their grip on group B.
Rohr said that the Lions will do everything to get a result in August 2017, but the Eagles will not be intimidated.

“ We know what to expect from Cameroon, they are very physical. That is how they love to play, we have to be ready to match them in that regard. But been physical won’t be enough, we also have to be technical in our approach.
“ We have the players to carry out the task of getting a positive result against Cameroon, all we have to do is to stick to our game plan, when the game comes up and not play into their hands,” said the German who is yet to lose a game since taking over this year.
He said his players are determined to qualify for the World Cup adding that they are easy to manage.
“I find them very dedicated and committed to our cause of qualifying for the World Cup in Russia.
“ We have had isolated cases of players crossing the line while in camp, but it is expected with adults, and how you handle that matters a lot. Mikel has also been helpful in that regard”.
