Christine Marie Janicki (Yonker), born December 13th, 1989, tragically passed away on Tuesday, March 19th 2024, along with her baby boy, Xavier Ignatius. Chris was the love of her husband, David’s life while they were married for over 6 breathtaking years. Together they have two beautiful children, Jackson (6) and Theodore (3). Chris was the most deeply loving mother you could find, raising and guiding her children to be incredible young boys. Chris was a bedrock and footing for conversations for life’s curveballs for her mother Patricia Gulis-Yonker, and a huge support for her sister Kimberly Yonker. Chris was a beloved daughter to Edwin Yonker. Chris graduated from Western Michigan University in 2012 and worked as a Registered Dietitian helping care for those in long term care facilities. She took such great joy in communicating with patients and understanding how she could help them. After working for a while, she elected to stay home with her boys and give them the best upbringing possible, which she did with absolute flying colors. There will be no way to replace the hole Chris left. Her presence was peaceful, her laugh was contagious, and her kindness was something admired by everyone. Chris loved her family so very deeply, and the precious time spent will be remembered forever. There was no limit to the steps she would take to help those around her and her generosity was effortless. Funeral services will take place at 11AM on Tuesday March 26th at St. Anthony of Padua, 2510 Richmond St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504. Her family will receive visitors Monday March 25, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW, and Tuesday from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. A Vigil Service will be held Monday at 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
