Bowen Berthelot, a 3-year-old Baton Rouge, Louisiana boy whose death has shocked the web, reportedly died in a skid steer loader accident on his family’s property.
Bowen’s death was revealed by his parents who were traumatized by the incident.
“Today a very tragic event happen that no parent can ever imagine. We lost our precious baby boy. Thank you for everyone reaching out …Keep us in y’all’s prayers,” father Nick Berthelot wrote in an emotional announcement post.
Other friends/family members chimed in, revealing how shocked they were by the news considering Bowen’s sweet nature.
“Bowen was the sweetest little boy and best friend/cousin to my children. He will be missed forever 🥺” Megan Berthelot wrote in a post.
A skid-steer loader (SSL), according to Wikipedia, is any of a class of compact heavy equipment with lift arms that can attach to a wide variety of buckets and other labor-saving tools or attachments.
The Baton Rouge and Denham Springs communities pulled together to help out the deceased family. Commemorative t-shirts were created to honor Bowen, from which all sale proceeds were to be donated to the family.
Meanwhile, Jensen Berthelot of Denham Springs organized a GoFundMe for the family, with mother Kennedi Berthelot the primary beneficiary.
“Our sweet Bowen Ross Berthelot has gained his angel wings at 3 years old. I have started this account to help with funeral expenses. If you feel compelled to donate, please do so here. We are so grateful for the outpouring of love from our community,” Jensen wrote.
The GoFundMe at the time of publication had reaised a whopping $64,885, way over its $25,000 goal.
