Cristiano Ronaldo wins UEFA Best Player award
Real Madrid and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was this evening awarded UEFA’s Best Player in Europe award, beating Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann to the title.
The 31-year-old forward becomes the oldest player to win the award in its history, having won the Champions League and Euro 2016 in an incredible year.
Cristiano Ronaldo joins Lionel Messi as the only player to have won the award on two occasions.
