You can now format text while messaging your friends, family and colleagues via WhatsApp.
The new text fonts which are presently available for iOS and Android users include Bold, Italics and Strikethrough text.

Italic
To make text appear italicised, the underscore character needs to be typed before and after the text e.g. _illuminaija_
Strikethrough
And to strikethrough a word, type the tilde character before and after the text e.g. ~illuminaija~
Bold
To make text appear bold, type an asterisk before and after the text e.g. *illuminaija*
Users can also additionally apply all three formats to a word:*~_illuminaija_~*
