It’s easily the song of the year, and with that you know the pressure was on Don Jazzy and the Mavins Crew to put out a video befitting of such an awesome song. Korede Bello’s Godwin is a classic feel good song that is perfect in times of celebrations, and sometimes just to reflect on blessings.
So the video? It was kept simple, and in line with that song, and the result turned out awesome. How awesome? Well here are 7 awesome things we loved about the video.
1. Bovi Introduction
Bovi’s “House of Victory” intro to the video set the tone for what ends up being a fun video. The comedian does what he does best, and dishes out hilarious skit to set up the video.
2. The Guy That Got The Alert
I mean there isn’t much better joy than getting that credit bank alert hit you cell phone. With the exception of life changing miracles, there aren’t many things that make a Nigerian happier than a welcome bank alert. This guy in the video portrayed that joy perfectly.
3. The New Dance
I’m sure we’re not the only one that caught it but Korede Bello and Don Jazzy seem to have introduced a new dance in this video. It’s a strange one, and we’re not sure it’ll catch on, but for this video. We love it!
4. The Chemistry Between Don Jazzy & Korede Bello
Throughout the video the chemistry between Don Jazzy and Korede Bello was just… for lack of a better word… cute. Like Big brother and small brother. Don Jazzy clicks with a lot of people but this one for some reason just looked extra special.
5. The Outfits
Through the video all the outfits were spot on. Nothing crazy or off the top but all very solid. Korede Bello’s all white outfit, the shiny suit, the flower print, Don Jazzy’s simple but clean look, and the outfit for the dancers all looked great. Kudos to the stylists. They made the video very easy on the eyes.
6. The Women Engineers
It might not be a big deal to some,but it stood out to me. In your typical setting, what looks like a construction contract would moretimes that not go to men, but in this video the engineers are women. It might or might not have been thought out that way, but it’s a good look and a differentspin on things.
7. Koredo Bello’s Wink
I mean you know the video is not complete without the wink, and yes, even though it was for 0.5 of second, we caught it. Too cute.And for those that didn’t catch the video, here goes once again:
