North Korean leader Kim Jong Un made it known that his country recorded no single coronavirus case ever since the pandemic that affected the world.
He told the audience at a military parade Saturday that he was grateful “not a single person” in the North contracted the coronavirus that spread to the world ever since it emerged in neighbouring China.
Pyongyang closed its borders in January to try to protect itself from the disease.
It also made it known regularly that it had recorded no case of the coronavirus.
However, the state media stopped given explicit statements on the state of the virus in recent months.
It only stressed on the importance of its prevention efforts.
