The Jigawa State Government has announced that 222 persons who tested positive for Coronavirus in the state have been discharged after recovering from the disease.
Governor Badaru Abubakar broke news during a press briefing in Dutse, the state capital on Monday, June 8.
He said the state government released 222 out of 283 patients because they had recovered fully from the disease.
The governor noted that 120 almajirai were among those discharged, while two others are still receiving treatment.
Governor Abubakar, who attributed the success recorded to government efforts in ramping up testing capacity and increase in surveillance, also revealed that his administration has lifted all lockdowns and ban on weekly markets in the state.
